The Entrepreneur’s Choose Your Own Adventure

The entrepreneur’s life is a “choose your own adventure,” adventure. It seems everyday, or every minute, we have a new path we can choose.

Do you open the big red door and enter the cavernous room of new product offerings?

Do you try to pry open the chest and make collection calls?

Or do you draw your sword and try to fight off the endless stream of emergencies?

The funny thing is that three choices doesn’t even seem to scratch the surface of the daily onslaught of options – you are faced with hundreds or thousands. So how do you choose the right one?

You need to know I am not talking psycho-analysis. I mean, you need to get to know your authentic self – who you really would be, if you really could be you. When you know your true self, your choices become much more obvious.

Knowing your true self won’t help you prioritize collections over emergencies. (I have a system for that). Knowing yourself will give you the clarity on knowing if a choice is consistent with who you are or not. Then you simply stick with choices that are only consistent with who you are. Life always comes out better that way.

And it makes the entrepreneur’s “choose your own adventure” life much easier (and enjoyable).
