Have you ever noticed that when someone else is talking that you struggle to listen. And what if you are in a crowded room, and other people are texting and talking and the such? How do you stay focused?
The most simple way, believe it or not, is to use imagery. Picture a telephone, the old school type with a cord, held up to your ear with a long cord running directly from you to the speaker. Picture the phone connect directly to a microphone next to their mouth. Envision having the perfect connection.
The imagery brings focus. And focus ensures you catch every single word they are saying.
Taking notes is another tip. When we write down notes about what someone else is saying, we listen more closely.
I’ll write that down.
Fancy schamncy picture, Frank.
Luv It and shared!
