So, the next time you are in a conversation listen closely not only to the other person’s words but their speaking speed. Slow down or speed up your own speaking accordingly and you’ll form a bond. Ignore your speaking speed and you are unlikely to connect. As George Carlin once said, “Did you ever notice that people driving faster than you on the highway are idiots, and slower than you are assholes?” We like people like us.
