Tattoo Advertising! Brands That Use Your Body For Marketing

Advertising keeps getting more creative as time goes by. A newer type of advertising includes tattooing companies logos on your body as permanent ads. Below are some of the tattoo advertising examples I came across. Enjoy!

1. From The Neck Up

The worst part about this gutsy tattoo is the fact that only one of those websites still exists.

2. Geeks “R” Us

This guy specializes in getting small, unknown businesses tattooed everywhere. Good thing it’s only permanent for the rest of your life!

3. Intel 4 Life

This is one way to show your inner nerd. Just like Intel’s jingle…”dumb dumb bum bum’.

4. Please Pass The Salt

Nothing like the Morton Salt girl on your arm to remind you “When it rains…go grab some salt!”

5. I Google Too Buddy

Not that the largest most visited internet powerhouse ever needs anymore publicity but what the hell.

6. Who’s Hungry?

This is what happens when you combine massive amounts of alcohol, a dare and Popeyes Chicken and Biscuits .

7. Host This

The popular hosting service paid a young man $3000 for this permanent space on his neck. They planned a whole campaign on tattooing hordes of others but chose not to go through with it due to legal reasons.

8. Apple Vs. PC

I can’t say that I am surprised, Apple has done a magnificent job building brand loyalty and created a lifestyle image. No wonder when you search for Apple tattoo’s the numbers will topple Microsoft Tattoo’s. Sorry Billy.

9. Wally World Wackiness

A guy with a “tramp-stamp” is bad enough…but a Wal-Mart tramp-stamp? Seriously!? This is so sad.

9. Golden Forehead

GoldenPalace.com paid this woman for the real estate space on her forehead. This is a permanent tattoo, no joke, she sold it in 2005 for $10K. Just goes to show you, if you need money or need the advertising there is always someone out there.

If you want to put The Pumpkin Plan on your forehead, I’ll pay $500 tops. If you put it anywhere else on your body, that’s your problem.

    1. It makes sense if the photo goes viral on facebook or something. The actual tattoo itself probably wouldn’t be seen by many people. I did go to see what the URL was though, so it works.

    2. Good site bud, willing to get tattooed on my throat and neck all the way around my head as in scalp and partially onto my face, inside lip, tongue, ears, full back hands, let us know if you’ve got any good ideas cheers 👀

    1. I know. I know…. i know. I am saddened to think what her background must have been like. And, I am also disappointed in the advertiser (I think)… but part of me knows that someone somewhere will do it. Just crazy stuff.

  1. how do i go about getting ahold of you to look at diffrent tattoo’s i can get paid for? i have 22 tat’s but plenty of space left and need the cash but no face tat’s.my arm’s are open space.

      1. Yes, seriously. Intel paid me nothing, since I never asked. I didn’t do it for money. I did it because I have always worked in the computer industry, and always will. I’m a true computer nerd at heart (Although I ride a Harley as well, lol). I did, however, have the presence of mind to get it where it could be covered by a T-shirt. The number one question I get is “is it real?”. From my contacts at intel, I hear that it did make the rounds in their corporate emails, and got quite a few laughs. Here is an updated photo (taken today):

        1. I think that is very cool. It sounds like you did it for a belief, for how it speaks about you. That is something that connects with me, and I get it.
My fear is when someone does it for quick money (and they don’t really want it) and then regrets it forever.

          1. Personally, I would never let someone pay me to get a tattoo of a logo. How worthless does your life have to be to reach that point? Are you so desperate for cash and/or media attention that you would PERMANENTLY alter your body? It’s just asinine.

          2. I kinda agree, but not fully. I mean… I get doing a tattoo for something you believe in. As a statement.
But I also get that some circumstances are desperate…. that peopled need to do something to survive. Their need in the moment clouds the impact that it will have for the rest of their life. And perhaps they are in a situation where they MUST do it. Sometimes people do regretfully dumb things where they need money fast.
So… I am not supporting it. But can see how desperation happens.
And I very much support someone for doing a tattoo for money over robbing a bank.

  2. you guys interested in any permanent tattoo human billboard advertising on a professional athlete? Contact me on twitter @levimcdaniel

  3. how do i get information on tattoo advertising?? I am very interested in hearing about the options out there & dollars paid for what. I AM NOT interested in the ones you put on your face… any other body part; I would like to hear more about. lesannlor@bellsouth.net I would appreciate any information you could give me.

  4. James – Hey man, my intention wasn’t really to solicit forehead (or any type of tattoo’s) here. But I appreciate you sharing what you are facing, so I will gladly leave this up should someone want to take you up on your offer.

  5. it sounds like ppl sell advertising space on themselves, but a more important question is how often do i get paid or is it just a one time payment?

  6. First they pay you to make yourself a walking advertisement for life. Next step down the road is parents will start to get payed to tattoo their babies. And finally everyone will get so used to the tattoo’s they will give you all a free tattoo on your arm or forehead which is barcode. I would really hope some of you can realize this. When the world becomes a complete freakshow which it is getting closer to what do you think will happen. I believe simply what certain people want is to reduce the population in the world. Or make you more of a slave then you already might be.
