4 Ways To Boost Your Memory

Here are some great tips for improving memory and remembering what you did with the… the… you know that thing you use!

1. Get Mnemonic

Mnemonic techniques help you remember difficult things to remember by using association. Using synonyms, rhymes, and associations all help with remembering things. For example, you need to remember the phrase “tax credit and breaks”, associate it with TCB or “taking care of business”.

2. Get Off Your Ass

Move around! Studies have show that exercise significantly improves memory and blood to the brain. It’s no wonder that in a study of the top performing CEO’s, 90% exercised 4 days a week or more.

3. Supplement Your Brain

It has been proven that ginkgo biloba and omega-3 fish oils improve memory. They basically make the brain more alert and hydrated to accept the required information. The ginkgo biloba improves focus and blood flow and the omega-3’s improve the function, put them together for one powerful brain booster.

4.Draw It In Your Head

Let’s say you need to remember a shopping list. Try this. Think of an item with a vividly clear picture in your head like broccoli, now imagine it with something else that begins with “b” like a baseball bat. So now it becomes a head of broccoli holding a baseball bat, broccoli-bat. Now do that with another item and draw a line linking it to the broccoli in your head. You would be amazed the number of things you can remember from this technique.
