Show Quotes

The money doesn’t just come from the “main stage,” it comes from multiple revenue streams.

Many speakers make more money in back of the room sales and other offerings than the speaking event itself.

You gotta test stuff. You gotta through stuff out there.

Be more mindful of profit from the beginning.

Profit first and the people next. It sounds evil, but if you ignore profit you can’t keep the people.

Lisa’s favorite quote about profit: “Always be a first rate version of yourself and not a second rate version of someone else.” – Judy Garland

  1. Lisa – It was a blast having you. Your insights are amazing and so powerful. Thank you sharing everything that you shared. Not to mention, your singing was awesome and your sense of humor is unmatched! We’d love to have you back.

  2. I enjoyed listening to “Episode 7: Presenting Your Brand Profitably With Lisa Robbin Young” Lisa was a wealth of information and a breath of fresh air. She shared lots of powerful “P” words – the one that struck me the most was PASSION! Time for me to reconnect with my passion for what I do! Thanks!

    1. Lisa -it’s kinda funny, people talk about passion all the time. In fact I can’t think of a single entrepreneurial book that doesn’t reference the importance of passion. Yet it seems that we forget about passion.

I think we often confuse passion with desire and want, also. But from my experience the reality is that passion is something that gives more energy as we do it. Therefore if our business is built around our passion, just the ownership of the business will yield more and more enjoyment over time.

If the business drains you, I question if you are truly doing your passion about instead of something that you just desire.

    2. Hey Lisa! Thanks for listening to the show. Glad you got a lot out of it – can’t wait to see how you reconnect to your passion. You’ve got a LOT of talent, and a big heart. I know God’s got plans for you, lady! 🙂
